# User Tagging

> Tags allow you to attach a tag to users over multiple distributions

User Tags give you a simple, colorful way to keep notes on staff that stick around
across distributions. Flag top performers, mark people to watch, or label anything
your team needs with custom names and colors — then spot those tags at a glance
right from the [Views](/features/views) page.

Tags are an easy way to keep track of staff performance or notes over time. They can be managed from workspace settings
