# Information Hub
> The hub allows your group to secure, centralize and compartmentalize access to imporant resources
The Information Hub is your group's secure knowledge base. Centralize the links,
guides, and resources your team relies on, lock each collection to the right
[departments](/settings/departments), and audit every single open — so sensitive
information reaches exactly who it should, and no one else.
## Collections
Your hub home displays all of the collections you are allowed to see which are locked to [departments](/settings/departments), these act as folders of URLs. You can see a preview of each URL before clicking them. All opens are tracked for auditing by staff.
## Settings
Here you can create collections, you have to make a collection to lock information down to certain departments. You can then create resources (links) for users to be able to access.
## Opens
On the opens page you can see a history of who has opened resources, and when they did it.
